    Flushing YMCA: Location and transport

The Flushing YMCA is located in one of the most diverse communities of New York, in Queens, a short distance from the Arthur Ashe Stadium (US Tennis Open Championship). It is perfect for sports lovers as it is also a short distance to Shea Stadium (home of the New York Mets) to see the all American sport, baseball. The Flushing Meadows/ Corona Park and the Queens Botanical Gardens are also well worth a visit. It is convenient to both JFK & LaGuardia Airports and a 30 minute train ride to midtown New York City where you can see all the sites of the Big Apple including the Empire State, Fifth Avenue, Central Park and Rockefeller Centre. You can enjoy the best of the city from this Queens location. The subway (line 7) is located about 200 metres from the building and Long Island Railroad ride to Manhattan is a short walk. Also nearby: USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, Shea Stadium, Queens Botanical Gardens, and numerous restaurants.
