Coney Island

Coney Island is in the southernmost part of the borough of Brooklyn at 1000 Surf Avenue. Coney Island is a New York City neighbourhood featuring an amusement area that includes 35 or more separate rides and attractions. These rides are all owned individually - it's not a centrally managed amusement park like other big names in the business. Coney Island is a seasonal centre operating roughly between Easter and Labour Day (the first Monday in September) and on weekends until the end of September. The boardwalk is open all year round. It is well worth the trek out to Lower Brooklyn for a little nature, a stroll on the boardwalk and finally some authentic Coney Island dogs at Nathan’s Hot Dogs.
